Whitman is an indie rock band from Austin, Texas that has worked to establish the perfect blend of catchy melodies and loud, biting rock and roll. A mix of narrative songwriting, driving guitars, ever shifting backing beats, and haunting organ whorls create the quartet’s signature sound. Fueled by an endless thirst for adventure and hard-working persistence, Whitman has steadily toured the nation creating a base of dedicated fans and friends. After the release of their 2008 LP, Torch Songs, the band returned to the studio to record "Cul-de-Sac" and "Light It Up", tracks that capture the group’s independent spirit and raucous live shows.
